Time Changes Everything

It's funny how you may observe certain phenomena and come to an understanding of it, yet when you hear another person reinforce your observation with their own explanations, you come away somehow knowing your understanding more fully. Such an instance happened tonight during Zen class when I asked the Shifu to expand on his earlier comment on how we can use experience to increase our sensitivity and flexibility, yet not let them imbue us with biases that impede our ability to deal with present and future situations more fittingly. I mean, how exactly is one to do that?
